I cannot believe it is the last day of tour. I first auditioned for Legally Blonde back in 2005...what a journey! I am so grateful for this amazing show and all who have been involved. Words really can't express how much this show means to me, so, I'll just send out a huge "Thank You" to the universe. It has been truly wonderful!

Wow, only 2 left for me in Toronto and then only 6 after that! I can hardly believe my journey with Legally Blonde is almost done...it's been an amazing ride!! So we're having a blast up here in Toronto at the Princess of Whales. It was a festive Friday night this week. Katie Holmes and Suri came to the show and I got to meet them/take a photo after the show. Cool stuff. But most importantly my mom and dad had their last show at Legally Blonde this weekend...they have been watching this show since San Francisco in 2007 and I have to say thank you to them for being so supportive, so many times, and in so many places! Love you lots mom and dad!!!

Ben Davis High School

So, while in Indianapolis, IN with the show, I had the opportunity to meet with the theater students at Ben Davis High School. What amazing kids! Well I haven't taken a good picture of it yet, but we're currently at the 5th Avenue theater in Seattle, WA...the place where Hairspray was born! It is such a beautiful theater and what a fun city to spend 3 weeks in!

Panthers game!

Well, it's been awhile but things are great on the road! We spent the last few weeks in Florida and are now headed back up north for the holidays! I sang at the Panthers hockey game last Monday and it was so much fun. They lost in a shoot out but it was a great game. The mascot had seen the show and made a scene out of getting my autograph, so that was pretty funny! Don't worry Rangers...I was only a temporary Panthers fan!!

Texas Rangers

I got to sing the national anthem at the Texas Rangers game last week! It was a very rainy day but it cleared up right before the game and didn't start back up until about the 7th inning. It was a great night...the cast got suite seats and the game was awesome!

OMG what a thrill! I still cannot believe I got to sing at the Tonys...it was an amazing night! I got all dressed up and walked the red carpet, seeing such stars as Anne Hathaway, Will Ferrell, Liza Minelli, and all the nominees. I got to sit and watch almost the whole show and then perform on "the coin" front and center! I have never been that nervous but I did it!! Here are some pix from the weekend including rehearsal on Friday, dress rehearsal Sunday morning and then the big night!

Wow. I'm officially the worst blogger ever! The show is going great. We spent 2 weeks in Minnesota which was awesome, being that it's my home state!! I had so many visitors from my hometown and it was just so much fun to see everyone! Here are a few pix from the last few months. The cast went to Disney World and got to meet the some cast members which was very exciting! I went to the Helen Hayes awards...didn't win, but had a lovely evening! The cast also went to support DB when he sang the national anthem at the Durham Bulls baseball game. We got sweet box seats and a visit from the mascot!

Well I am back in action! I am so happy to to be back in the show. My toe is hanging in there...pretty much recovered but I'm wearing a mix of flats and heels throughout the show so that it can really heal. Let's just say the bunny suit isn't quite as hot with flats! Ah well, I'll be back in full time high heels before long! We are enjoying our time in Des Moines, then we head to Memphis and then Florida!! Snaps!

Well, I slipped on the stairs backstage Thursday night after the show and broke my big toe! I can't believe it. I will be out for 6 weeks, but will travel along and heal on the road. I guess I'll just be the mascot! I am so excited for Lauren, who is doing a great job and I'm glad Laura Bell is able to come help out too. It will be a weird few weeks, but I'll survive and the fact that I can rest will be kinda nice. I'm sure I'll start going nuts eventually, but it'll be great to be able to actually hang out with the cast instead of living like a nun like I do when I'm doing 8 shows a week! Here are some pix from my adventure at the GWU emergency room...don't be jealous of my sexy new shoe! haha!

While we were in Hartford I went to a book signing with Bill Berloni. I got to see the broadway dogs! Chico and Chloe came to the Borders and we hung out for a bit. We were also able to visit the Berloni's at their house so I got to catch up with them and see all their dogs!

Well, before I check out for a few weeks of vacation, I wanted to share some photos from the last few weeks. I went to Bill Berloni's book signing at the Public Theater, where the profits went to the Humane Society. Congrats to Bill on his great book! I also had my last show at Legally Blonde. Here is a photo of Abby and I (her shirt says "Fansvig"...pretty clever!) and also some photos of the girls helping me decorate for my, Gaelen and Bryce's going away party. It was a fun day...sad to leave the people, but exciting to be off on this new adventure!

Well today is my last day in the Broadway cast of Legally Blonde:The Musical. It has been quite a ride. I will definately miss the cast and everyone at the fabulous Palace Theater. Everyone has been so supportive and encouraging. Now for a little vacation!! Road trip Road trip!!!

Well, it was a foggy morning, but the rain stayed away! I arrived in Times Square at 5:45 am! Whew! After a sound check, I hung out with some of the Pink Ladies from Grease. I performed "So Much Better" and wished the walkers well before returning to my bed for a nap before 2 shows. It was a great event and I'm glad I could be a part of it!

On March 22nd, I sang in Times Square for the Keep America Beautiful NYC Kickoff! It was cool to be on all the big screens! There were many city commissioners present as well as some students from local schools. Appropriately, it was a beautiful day! Oh, and I even sang "Happy Birthday" to one of the commissioners!

Point Foundation

Last night I was honored to be a part Point Foundation's benefit honoring the arts. Cynthia Nixon and Time Warner were honored and I sang "So Much Better." The best part of the evening however, was meeting the scholars that Point Foundation helps. This is a wonderful foundation and I am so glad that I could be a part of the event!

Well, it was a crazy fun time this past week. It was basically an understudy party at Legally Blonde all week and then to top it off I booked and shot a Verizon commercial! Pretty exciting. I also sang with fellow "blondie" Gaelen at the Toys for Tots benefit hosted by the Broadway Boys. It was a great event and I was honored to be a part! Now it's a vacation for the holidays. After the Sunday matinee, I flew to Kansas City! It was a quick trip to sing "So Much Better" at the National Tour Association convention. There were quite a few other broadway shows. I ran into some old friends and made some new! Here I am with Shannon Durig (Hairspray), Mary Faber (Avenue Q), and Jeff Schecter (A Chorus Line).

Hairspray

I just want to say thank you to everyone who made my 2 years at Hairspray amazing! I was very sad to leave the show in July, but I grew as a person and as a performer during my time at the Neil Simon and I am so grateful for the experience. Thank you to those of you who sent such nice letters and cards to the theater, I am flattered. I feel lucky that Hairspray was my first Broadway show and it will always have a special place in my heart! After all, "you can't stop the beat!"
